We Don’t Agree on How Often to Have Sex – Podcast: Dr. John Deloney

There are similar discussions that couples struggle with; finances, sex, in-laws, parenting etc. An often not discussed conversation, especially in Christian marriages is anything around sex. I am going to start posting some thoughts on this topic. Please remember there is always nuance with all of the things posted that are not always addressed in a single video or discussion.

Sex is such a complex conversation with discussions on intimacy, friendship, safety, physical health issues (menopause, testosterone etc), never being alone, exhaustion from daily life, trauma including religious trauma from purity culture, and numerous others. We don’t want anyone to feel obligated to have sex in our relationships but we want to encourage intimacy in our marriages on all levels.  There is so much to discuss here but I want to wade into this conversation more.

Here is a great conversation on this topic by Dr. John Deloney. If you have any great suggestions please let me know. Thanks

The video should be above but in case it is not here is a direct link – https://youtu.be/KDpHMURguJo?si=Tlr24tKhpWqWn2kr
